Letter to Roberta Hollingsworth [manuscript] 1942 Apr.8.

Kline encloses a copy of "Examinations for women" [Broadside 1892 .U56], which details the conditions under which women could study at the University of Virginia. Kline discusses her experience studying chemistry with Dr. Mallett in 1893, and for several years after during summer sessions. She recounts that Mallet was "interested in the admission of women to the University. He thought it would be better for the men as well as the women."
